| Aerodrome |
|
Cascais Municipal Aerodrome in Tires has a runway measuring 1,700 by 30 metres and a modern reception and handling area with a capacity for 80 –90 passengers. The aerodrome’s infrastructure is suitable for international air traffic from the Schengen Agreement countries and can provide convenience and comfort for passengers boarding and landing. This aerodrome also has Air Traffic Control, Inter-Airport Operations Control, insurance, first aid and fire services, a re-fuelling station (Avgaz 100LL and Jet Fuel), aeroplane repair and maintenance services and its own restaurant.
There is a flying school at the Tires aerodrome. Light planes and helicopters can be hired, with or without a pilot.
